Dixie Chopper adds EFI model to Silver Eagle product line
Dixie Chopper recently introduced an electronic fuel injection (EFI) model to its Silver Eagle series of zero-turn mowers. The new model 2960EFI is designed for fuel efficiency and high performance for use in a variety of commercial applications.
Model 2960EFI comes with a 60-inch (152.4 cm) cutting deck for mowing up to 5.3 acres per hour. It is powered by a 29-hp. Kohler EFI engine, which offers better fuel efficiency and easier operation than similar carbureted units. The mower is also equipped with a heavy-duty Hydro-Gear pump and Parker wheel motors for smooth, reliable operation.
The ELITE Cutting System on the Silver Eagle mower has a 1.75-inch (4.4 cm) blade overlap and uses Dixie Chopper’s patented X-Blade Technology. The high blade-tip speeds create a powerful vacuum, helping to produce high-quality cuts in any condition. To achieve a mulching effect, optional Twist Blades can be used in conjunction with the standard blades.
For enhanced convenience, the mower is equipped with Dixie Chopper’s exclusive Operator Controlled Discharge Chute (OCDC). This system allows the operator to manually open and close the discharge chute to prevent clippings and other objects from being thrown from the deck. Model 2960EFI also offers fingertip controls for further comfort and ease of use. The control panel includes the throttle, key ignition, PTO switch, and digital multi-functioning tachometer.
To provide maximum protection from impact, corrosion and sunlight, the mower is constructed with a stainless-steel body. Other standard features include an 8-gallon (30.3 L) fuel tank, easy-to-use deck lift, heavy-duty spindles and pulleys, and motorcycle-tread front tires.
Options include the XT3 collection system, snow blade, suspension seat, springer forks, electronic deck-lift system, rear hitch, Magic Mulcher Kit, Zebra Striping Kit, Easy Reach tool, run-flat tires and Turf Boss tires.
Like all Silver Eagle mowers, model 2960EFI is backed by a 5-year/3,000-hour drivetrain warranty and a lifetime warranty against rust on all stainless-steel components.
