Former Baltimore Ravens Head Coach, Brian Billick, to be PLANET’S 2008 Green Industry Conference Keynote Speaker

The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) is pleased to announce that the former Super Bowl-winning Head Coach of the Baltimore Ravens (1997–2007), Brian Billick will be the keynote speaker at this year’s Green Industry Conference (GIC) in Louisville, Kentucky, October 22–25, 2008.

Billick, who lead the Ravens to victory at Super Bowl XXXV and to their best regular season in franchise history in 2006, has earned a reputation for being an expert motivator and strategist, qualities he imparts to audiences to put them on the path to success.

His address on Thursday, October 23, promises to be a great kickoff to a GIC with lots of new features: a new certification track that replaces the full-day Certified Landscape Professional (CLP) certification review session, with review sessions interspersed throughout the conference schedule. In addition to the ever-popular Breakfast With Champions event, members will also have the opportunity to pose their most challenging questions to some of the industry’s most seasoned minds during an Ask the Experts event. And since GIC is held in conjunction with the GIE+EXPO, not only will new products and services be showcased on the trade show floor, but it will also be host to several hands-on workshops that will allow members to observe how-to applications and gain valuable hands-on training on the equipment.

The major sponsors for this event include, John Deere at the Platinum level; Bayer Environmental Science at the gold level; and Ewing Irrigation Products, Inc., at the silver level.
