Former NFL quarterback Ron Jaworski to keynote at LANDSCAPES 2017

The National Association of Landscape Professionals announced that NFL Pro Bowl Quarterback Ron Jaworski will be the keynote speaker at LANDSCAPES 2017, NALP’s annual convention which is held in conjunction with GIE+EXPO, October 18-20 in Louisville.

LANDSCAPES is the premier education and networking event at GIE+EXPO, which includes more than 40 education sessions, the CEO forum, safety training and certification testing as well as the top networking events including the Opening Kick-Off event on Wednesday, October 18, where Ron Jaworski will give a keynote speech, take questions from the audience and sign autographs and take photos.

Jaworski was drafted by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round of the 1973 NFL Draft. After four years with the Rams, Jaworski joined the Philadelphia Eagles in 1977. Under head coach Dick Vermeil and with Jaworski’s ability and field leadership, the Eagles advanced to their first-ever berth in a Super Bowl vs. the Oakland Raiders. Jaworski finished the 1980 season as the No. 1-rated passer in the NFC and was the 1980 NFL MVP.

After 17 years, Jaworski retired from the NFL and began a career as an NFL analyst on ESPN for Monday Night Football as well as many other shows on the network. Jaworski also has many business ventures, including owning several golf courses, having co-majority ownership of the Philadelphia Soul and sits on the boards of PNC Bank. He is also involved in many charities including starting Jaws Youth Playbook, which focuses improving the overall health and wellness of at-risk youth in the Greater Philadelphia Region.

The Keynote session with Ron Jaworski is included in the registration for LANDSCAPES. The basic registration of $299 for NALP members and $499 for non-members (before Sept.18) also includes entrance to GIE+EXPO for both days, more than 40 education session, the opening party, and two nights of free concerts at 4th Street Live with Uncle Kracker and The Crashers.

LANDSCAPES 2017 is approved for Landscape Industry Certified recertification at 1 CEU per hour of instruction attended. PGMS and HNA educational programs also qualify toward recertification.
