NALP introduces new Advocacy, Community Partnership and Environmental Stewardship awards

The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP) introduced three new awards that will highlight the work the industry does to strengthen communities and support the environment.

Nominations are currently being accepted for the following awards:

Advocacy Awards – The advocacy awards will be presented to individuals who demonstrate a sustained and significant passion and commitment to advancing the interests of lawn and landscape industry with legislators and regulatory bodies. These awards will be presented at Legislative Days in July. (Deadline for applications is May 31.)

Community Partnership Awards – These awards highlight companies that are actively engaged in their communities, making continuous positive contributions while also highlighting the aesthetic, environmental and quality of life benefits that the landscaping industry brings to communities across America. The awards will be presented at LANDSCAPES in each of three revenue categories. (Deadline for applications is June 15.)

Environmental Stewardship Awards – These awards highlight those companies that make a sustained and significant commitment to enhancing and protecting the environment which is ingrained in the company’s culture and can be seen throughout their policies, practices and all they do. These awards will be presented at LANDSCAPES in three revenue categories. (Deadline for applications is June 15.)

 

“Companies of all sizes are making huge impacts in their communities through their public service and environmental stewardship and with these awards, we want to highlight that work and educate the public about the impact these companies are making,” said Missy Henriksen, NALP VP of Public Affairs. “We encourage people to nominate or self-nominate companies who are doing great work.”
