Toro’s new TurfMaster 30-inch commercial walk-behind mower
The new Toro TurfMaster 30-inch walk-behind mower significantly reduces landscape contractors’ mowing time — covering more ground in far less time. Toro has designed the new wide-area mower to be easy to operate and deliver outstanding performance under the toughest day-to-day operating conditions.
The highly productive 30-inch deck on the TurfMaster features a precisely timed, twin-blade cutting system and a 3-in-1 design for mulching, bagging, or side-discharge. The deck is constructed of 13-gauge steel and is outfitted with a strong bullnose front bumper, skid plates on the bottom of the deck, plus a metal rear door. For additional durability, the mower has a cast-aluminum frame, a thick, one-piece handle, as well as brush guards and an engine guard to protect components from damage.
“Landscape contractors are looking for ways to be more productive, and a wider deck equals faster mowing time,” said Tim Koch, senior marketing manager for Toro. “In addition to reducing mowing time, the TurfMaster is designed to be tough, which is important for long-term productivity. Every component is built for heavy use in rough conditions, to help withstand everything from curbs to trailer impacts.”
With the Toro two-point height-of-cut system, the operator can make adjustments from 1-1/2-inch to 5-inch increments. Also, the mower features a single bail control system for easy operation and a blade brake clutch, so the operator can disengage the blades without shutting off the engine. “We believe operators will be pleased that we’ve expanded the deck size without sacrificing ease of operation, maneuverability, or quality of cut compared to a 21-inch mower,” said Koch.
Powered by a commercial-grade Kawasaki FJ180V gas engine with a spin-on oil filter, the TurfMaster has a rear-wheel drive transmission with variable ground speeds up to 4.1 mph. The mower also has a one-gallon fuel tank to extend operating time between fueling.
The Toro TurfMaster 30-inch mower comes with a one-year limited commercial-use warranty and a two-year limited commercial-use engine warranty.
